I am a psychotherapist located in the Dupont Circle neighborhood of Washington, DC, offering individual, group, and couples therapy. I have a diverse practice and enjoy working with men and women to help them grow from within and improve the relationship they have with both themselves and others.
Often, our sense of self is formed by our earliest relationships. In the therapeutic relationship, we can learn to cultivate a healthier sense of self. I create a warm, empathetic space where clients can learn to better understand themselves, let go of self-limiting beliefs, and build the lives they want for themselves. Helping people improve their quality of life, thereby creating a positive impact on those around them, is deeply fulfilling to me.
As a licensed clinical social worker, I am a believer in constant personal and professional development, which I cultivate through participation in peer groups and professional associations, such as The American Academy of Psychotherapists (AAP) and the Institute of Contemporary Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis. I received my undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University, and my masters from the University of Maryland. Previously, I worked in communications and owned a public relations agency; experience that informs my unique understanding of work/life balance challenges.
